Ha Noi, Vietnam - StudioTHO Gallery - Solo Exhibit

Discover the Secrets of Stunning Photography Feb-Mar, 2009. - This is Larry's rapid learning system - easy learning method classes in photography for adults. Five courses are available including Digital Cameras, Photoshop, Lighting, People & Portraits and How to Become a Master Photographer. Larry also offers a mentoring program with flexible time and cost all using one on one instruction.  

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - January 30 - Feb. 22, 2009 - The Underwood Foundation Exhibit at Alberno College. Four of the foundation's photographers wil exhibit their latest work from Vietnam, Uganda, and Namibia. Two of Larry's latest Vietnam projects are on display. All the work on display is connected to humanitarian efforts of foreign NGOs.

Ha Noi, Vietnam -Group Exibit at StudioTHO, 79 Ma May St, Hoan Kiem District

Fotofest- Houston 2008 - Larry has been accepted into Houston's Fotofest Portfolio Review in March 2008 and will attend the sessions March 12 - 15.. This is the largest gathering of emerging fine art photographers in the world where 375 artists are reviewed by 180 of the medium's top leaders from museums, publishers, corporate and individual collectors, and galleries.

OK Ha Noi - February 2008 in Hanoi. This large solo exhibit took place in February of 2008 at the Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts in Ha noi. It was temporarily named Ha Noi Yesterday and Today at the request of the Ministry of Culture in Ha Noi. The exhibit consisted of two solo presentations in adjacent museum rooms. In one 30 black and white works by Larry's close friend and partner, Tran Quoc Khanh, was displayed and the other room had 38 of Larry's images. The artists had custom wood frames made in Vietnam and printed the images on MOAB Entrada paper using a locally owned Epson 7800 printer.

September 2007 - Hidden River Art Festival - Sept. 21- 23, 2007 at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts. This festival uniquely features the work of only Wisconsin artists. This is the second year of the festival which had its roots in a vision shared by Larry and the Art Center' s Executive Director, Dennis Buehler. Larry was the Center's resident artist for 4 years.

July 2007 Ha Noi Windows exhibit - Milan: The Ha Noi Windows multi media photography installation collaborative was exhibited near Milan, Italy in early July. The exhibit was curated by Caterina Desiato.

Ha Noi Contemporary Artists - During the last half of 2006 Larry met and became friends with many of Ha Noi's avant garde artists. He made portraits of them and photographs of their work. With Pamela Foard, his wife, he video recorded their commentary too. Planning is underway for a book and traveling exhibit of this work including all of these components.

Civic mission visited Ha Noi in May, 2007: Larry and several other people organized a cultural and commercial mission of civic leaders from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA to Ha Noi, Vietnam May 13 - May 19, 2007. The 18 people on the team met with Ha Noi civic leaders to learn more about Ha Noi and establish contacts for future cooperation between citizens of the two cities. To date several potential relationships have evolved including possibilities for cultural exchange, support for nascent human needs programs, micro loan programs, and ground work for future cross investment possibilities. The team's other key leaders were Jeffry Brown and Eric Berg.

April 2007 - Photo Lucida - Portland OR. provides new opportunites: This large portfolio review in Portland, Oregon has provided Larry and many other artists with new opportunites to gain more exposure for their art work.
